There are many things at school that people look forward to, like sports games and dodge ball tournaments, but there are also things many people have not heard of that they may look forward to as well. One of these things is the Spring Musical, and for those who know about it, it’s a very exciting thing.

Savannah Hott
Ian Heller, Karli Quigley – Steele, Molly Heller, Harley Ansbro, Scuttle A cast, Luke Riemersma, Scuttle B cast, Juana Reyes – Ledezma, and Catie Thompson are kicking like the rockettes in this number, Human Stuff. Hopefully no shoes will fly into the audience next week.

This year, the Little Mill  drama department is performing The Little Mermaid Jr. .Mrs Norwood, the director of Little Mill’s Drama Department, is looking forward to this year’s Spring Musical. “The Spring Musical has over 80 students directly involved in it,” said Mrs. Norwood. That is more than 4 times the size of the fall play. The Spring Musical also incorporates much more than just drama; the Art Class is designing the set for the throne room scene, the Special Education students were inspired to do a marine biology project, Band students will be playing music from the show in the lobby, and students in Build Club are making the props and so much more for the production.

Abigayle Smith, playing Ariel, Harley Ansbro, playing Scuttle, and Calvin Bowers, playing Prince Eric, are reacting to no heartbeat being found for the prince. It won’t be much longer before they are performing this number for an audience.

The spring play is  longer than the Fall Play, and incorporates more humor and action but it is common for fewer students to attend. Let’s make this year’s show different with more student attendance than ever. Come March 23rd and 24th to be amazed with what LMMS students have done with The Little Mermaid.
